The holiday season is upon us, and we are preparing for our annual Gift of Hope program, scheduled for December 11th. This treasured event is West Valley Community Services’ holiday program, where we invite the community to help economically disadvantaged individuals and families celebrate the holiday season. This event would not be possible without the community, including individuals, families, service clubs, and corporate teams that join together to adopt families and help make their holiday wishes come true.
Using a drive-through format for safety during COVID-19, the program will provide more than 750 homeless and low-income people with items they need, including jackets, blankets, pillows, microwaves, vacuums, and toys for their children.
This event is especially important this year as, though life is returning to normal for many people, many of our clients continue to struggle to keep a roof over their heads and food on their tables in the face of exorbitant housing costs and growing inflation.
