Our Mission
The mission of West Valley Community Services is to encourage the sharing of community resources, to provide basic human needs in a caring and dignified environment, and to provide opportunities for volunteers to participate in West Valley Community Services' activities.
Our History
Founded in 1973 by three public health nurses, the Cupertino Roundup became incorporated as Cupertino Community Services in 1976. In 2008, we changed our name to West Valley Community Services to better reflect the community we serve.
Who We Serve
We serve over 6,000 individuals and families annually in the West Valley communities of Cupertino, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, West San Jose and the unincorporated mountain regions.
Our History
West Valley Community Services, Inc. (WVCS) is a private non-profit, community-based agency that has been providing direct assistance and referral services to the west valley communities of Santa Clara County for 40 years. Founded in 1973, WVCS provides a continuum of basic needs, family support services and housing services including: information and referrals, food, transitional housing, affordable housing, financial assistance, and case management services. WVCS serves the west valley communities of Cupertino, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, West San Jose and the unincorporated mountain regions.

| 1993 | CCS celebrates the 20th anniversary with a new logo |
| 1996 | CCS acquires a four-plex to provide transitional housing to homeless men, women and children |
| 2001 | Vista Village capital campaign launches |
| 2003 | Vista Village, a 24 unit rental complex, opens |
| 2004 | CCS launches the Family Resources Program to provide services to families with children 0 to 5 |
| 2005 | CCS establishes the Legacy Society to support the CCS Endowment Fund |
| 2008 | CCS changes its name to West Valley Community Services (WVCS) |
